Y’all, these tree were NO JOKE. And this girl was the only one of us to reach the top.

Getting to celebrate holidays around the world is a blast! This weekend was Costa Rica’s Independence Day, and the Spanish school I (Marissa) am attending had a great celebration! I got to learn a couple Costa Rician dances and walked in the lantern parade with the kids! Such a fun night.

I can’t get over how fantastic walking around. @elestablo_cr was. The paths that get you from your room to the pool or restaurant are so nice, and on top of that they have actual trail in the forest you can go explore! Having so much of the natural world to enjoy make your stay there even more relaxing!

This place was perfect for us as family of 6. Here are a few of the highlights:
1: an on site restaurant. While we didn’t eat here, we did go into it and the food looked great and views we stellar!
2. Trails on site! And these trails we very nice.
3. A shuttle to take you around the property. The resort is built on a mile long hill…so you definitely will want to take advantage of that! Take it all the way to the top to enjoy the trails.
4. El Establo is one of the ONLY hotels in Moneteverde with a pool! And trust me when I say, the kids loved it.
5. Views for DAYS! Every place you turn you see another amazing vista!
6. Breakfast included (now you’re speaking my love language!) and not just any breakfast, an OUTSTANDING buffet.
7. Wildlife galore! We saw animals walking around all over the property. And the kids never got over it.

Keep your eyes peel for more about this place and make sure your save them in your Google map for your next trip to Costa Rica!

Just because we travel with only carry on size bags, doesn’t mean our kids don’t want the “normal” kids things.

That’s why we travel with a Nintendo Switch. It’s small enough to easily fit in our bags, and allows us to have 1 more fun family item.

Full time family travel brings all kinds of funny moments, like the one above! Rilee fell asleep while waiting for approval for more screen time, while holding her Apple Pencil! This happened on a travel day, so that tells you how tiring those days can be! Even when the flight is just 1 hour and you don’t change time zones.

So many people complain about the MacBook’s charging cable. We use this, and it’s amazing! It’s very long, so no matter the office layout Eric and charge his computer, and it’s much more “packing friendly” then the standard cord.
